And so it Begins...

It is funny how life unfolds sometimes. I moved out to California in May of 2008 thinking I would be back in Michigan come October after my seasonal job in the Mountains was over. I think I was only kidding myself. Everyone else seemed to know I would not be coming home. And knowing my ability to just pack up and leave, go try something new. I too should have realized I was not heading back to Michigan. A lot of things changed for me over those few months in the Mountains. Including the plans I had when the Drakesbad life was over. Originally I'd planned to move to Chico and get a job, figure things out from there. But as it turns out that was only my plan. God seemed to have a different one in store. Hence he brought the Coffee Station into my life along with the Lemons, and Michelle and slowly this community. The Lemons whom I'd gotten to know over the summer. Were letting me live with them until I found an apartment in Chico. Then through conversation Ecuador came up and I got to hear stories about the trip that Jeff, Bryce and Michelle had taken. Jeff showed me a video, and I fell in love. So I then applied for Youth World Ministries.

And so it begins, I have been accepted for a 3 month internship over Seas in the Capitol City of Ecuador. I don't really know details yet. All I do know is that God has given me this wonderful opportunity to head over to Quito. I've started this blog so that anyone interested could keep up to date on what exactly I am doing while I am there. I know this, it will be amazing on all levels. One of my favorite bible verses can sum everything I've said up.
Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy.
